The Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium sought to launch a new fall attraction to drive attendance, enhance community engagement, and elevate its profile as a year-round destination.

A to Z Communications partnered closely with the Zoo’s internal team to develop and execute a multi-faceted strategy:

Creative Development: We led the conceptualization, theme development, and naming of the Jack O’Lantern Extravaganza, a family-friendly nighttime trail experience celebrating the season through artfully carved pumpkins and immersive storytelling.

Influencer & Marketing Outreach: To generate excitement and drive ticket sales, A to Z managed influencer partnerships and regional media outreach, delivering high-impact exposure across traditional and digital platforms.

Social Media Support: We designed a suite of branded social media templates to ensure a consistent, eye-catching visual identity across all event-related posts and promotions.

Additional Support—Crisis Communications: When a beloved Zoo animal passed away in 2024, A to Z provided rapid-response communications support, helping the Zoo craft empathetic messaging and manage public and media responses with care and professionalism.
